Bear with me while I get this off my chest
it's the only way I know it's how I do it best
sick of being angry, gunna have my say
turn it around to a positive way

This used to be the most equal of nations
now the powerful have imposed their domination
wake up! It's time to make a stand
not with violence but compassion and understanding

Rich are getting richer in this society
exploiting young people, it's just a form of slavery
while the world is so unequal violence won't disappear
what sort of world do you want, to live in constant fear?

What we got now is economic politics
there's no future in it, it's a lethal mix
can't buy a new land of milk and honey
you can't drink words and you can't eat money

We've got to take the power from the hands of politicians
from mediocre minds just driven by ambition
we need leaders with intelligence, integrity
who act for the common good of all humanity

It's time to change this so-called democracy
controlled by money and power it's just hypocracy
there's no courage or vision just mediocracy
we need wisdom and compassion not a new aristocracy

Don't trust profit driven TV and media
they'll keep you in the dark and it's bullshit they feed ya
confuse you with emotion, misinformation
they lead us to a future of dust and desolation

We need a new agenda, start a new debate
a new form of government before it's too late
it's easy to destroy, it's easy to hate
it's harder to apologize, it's harder to create

Don't get sucked into violence that's an old trick
use the anger positively, or it will make you sick
divide and rule it's as old as the hills
one hand on the gun, the other in the till

Lining their pockets with the sweat of poorer nations
reaping the profits of global domination
stealing the bread from future generations
leaving them a legacy of dust and desolation

It's easy not to think about what's right or wrong
while you are following orders marching along
learn to work together, learn cooperation
an individual even in a corporation

Think for yourself make up your own mind
you're unique you are one of a kind
respect yourself, your sisters and brothers
learn to love yourself then you can love others
